Successful ICCX North Africa 2024 – concrete industry networking in Casablanca

The ICCX North Africa 2024, which took place on 23rd and 24th October at the Hotel Barceló Anfa in Casablanca, once again proved to be a unique meeting place for the concrete industry in the region. The event brought together more than 400 professionals, an increase of more than 15% compared to the number of participants at last year's ICCX in Morocco.

The exhibition was packed from the first to the last minute with interested visitors who took the opportunity of striking up contact with the 60 international companies exhibiting. Machine and systems engineering companies, as well as those from the concrete chemicals and spare parts segments, utilised the occasion to showcase their products and technologies. In many cases, existing contacts were cultivated; yet, above all, new customer contacts were made, proving that the ICCX in Casablanca is gaining increasing attention and new appeal.

There was widespread praise for the ICCX event concept, which is exclusively open to business professionals and where a framework for personal and professional networking is created in a unique way. 

The coinciding organisation of the fib Commission for Prefabrication also proved to be a successful combination. Numerous experts from the fib Commission delivered the presentation programme on the first day of the ICCX and thus covered current topics of interest to the Moroccan construction industry. This is particularly relevant in light of the earthquake that caused severe damage in the region around Marrakesh in 2023, with the result that greater attention is being paid to earthquake safety in new constructions.

Raising awareness of the topic of earthquake safety, as well as of the possibilities for retrofitting buildings with regard to strengthening their resistance to earthquakes, will also play a key role in the presentation programme at the next trade fair. The date has already been set: the ICCX North Africa 2025 will be held on 29 and 30th October 2025 once again at the Hotel Barceló Anfa Casablanca. Please note this date!
